The story of Pilsner Urquell
A true original was born in 1842. A unique combination of Czech ingredients, the local soft water and a new recipe created a drink that has changed the world over the course of the years. The fame of this new type of beer, characterized by a clear yellow color, excellent full taste and first-class quality, quickly grew beyond the city of Pilsen. Pilsner Urquell gradually began conquering other countries and served as an inspiration for over two thirds of all beers in the world today – beers carrying names such as pils, pilsner or pilsener.
